The Best TVs under $1500 dollars (Reviews)
Sony BRAVIA Series

Selected as one of Oprah’s favorite things, the Sony Bravia Series was designed to deliver the ultimate home viewing experience by delivering superbly fluid and gorgeous images on your set. Fast-paced sports, movies and games look so smooth due the Motionflow 240Hz refresh rate technology, but what exactly does it do?
Motionflow is an advanced motion processing technology that intelligently inserts frames between pictures that actually delivers a better picture in action scenes than the film the movie was shot with. The LED backlighting gives you a package deal of the most vibrant colors, deepest blacks, brightest whites and amazing contrast within a stylishly slim design. The 2D is stunning however the 3D is amongst the best of any currently on the market.
Difference between KDL X810, XBR and Z Series.
The KDL X810 is Dynamic Edge 3D LED which provides a stunning state of the art experience in Full 3D HD with all the bells and whistles (Internet Connectivity, Wi-Fi, etc). XBR are the eXtended Bit Rate versions of the KDL series. XBR, an acronym for eXtended Bit Rate, which designates Sony’s high performance series of televisions featuring advanced features and progressive industrial design without 3D Capability. The Z Series is only one step below the XBR series and make for a comparable substitute when pricing has become a factor. The picture quality between the XBR and Z series is almost identical to a non-videophile.

Samsung Class LN Series 1080p HDTV

This LCD is nothing short of amazing in terms of fast motion picture quality, price and features. It literally has everything you could possibly need in a Super Bowl TV: ESPN3, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Netflix, Pandora, CinemaNow, and Dynamic Contrast Ratio for outstanding color and picture quality especially when watching high-definition sports.
If that bundle of superb features impressed you then the price will astound you. Samsung has taken great strides to competitive price this high-end series of LCD TV’s. We did a complete write-up for the 46 inch LCD HDTV back in September if you are interested in reading further of what it has to offer. Samsung 46 inch Class LCD 1080p HDTV Review. The newer C750 Models feature 3D Capability and Game Mode. Samsung has also added the Touch of Color (TOC) design which combines a unique texture and color that seems to actually compliment the decor of your TV room. Arguably the best value (price to quality) in LCD TV’s on the market today.

Sharp Quattron HDTV

The Sharp Quattron is the new advanced model of the AQUOS line uses quad pixel technology that adds a fourth color yellow to the RGB spectrum to create colors that have never been seen before on any TV. We reviewed this TV back in October (Read the complete Sharp Quattron TV review).
This means you will be able to see sparkling golds, Caribbean blues, sunflower yellows and other colors your eyes are simply not use to seeing on an electronic device. You tie this into the rich colors of the Super Bowl uniforms, lush green field, skin tones, and commercials, and you have an experience that will be unparalleled. The TV also features 3D technology, AQUOS Net internet apps and a bevy of other features that are all outstanding. If we could rate this TV higher than 10/10 we would…it’s that impressive.
The 2009 and prior AQUOS LCD line featured a Black TFT Panel with Spectral Contrast Engine XD that essentially creates a very high Contrast Ratio and wider viewing angles for an LCD. These models were mainly 120HZ and handled fast-motion image processing very well. We would suggest purchasing a pre-2010 model is if you are looking for a very large high-end LCD TV and do not mind giving up the 2010 Vyper Drive features. In this case there are 2009 and prior 65 inch models available in the AQUOS line.
The 2010 AQUOS LCD Line features settings so that the TV will automatically adjust to daylight or nighttime conditions. These models are 240Hz and intelligently creates and inserts images in fast motion sequences to fill in gaps for an exceptionally smooth picture with stunning detail. Sports and fast-action movie sequences look almost too good. These TV’s also feature “Vyper Drive” gaming mode that creates a “Gamers Dream” effectively eliminating all lag during videogame play. The Sharp AQUOS is an environmentally conscious LCD that requires fewer resources to manufacture and less energy to use with extended operating life making this our highest rated pure LCD TV.

Mitsubishi WD-73737 73-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV

For some people only the biggest and baddest will do. 55-inch, 63-inch, and even 70-inch just don’t make the grade. This 73-inch Mitsubishi DLP is a monster of a HDTV, but more importantly the TV itself deserves nothing less than the description of “visually breathtaking”.
DLP technology is superb at these large format sizes so it actually doesn’t get much better than this as far as Home Theater HDTV’s go. It’s Smooth 120Hz Film Motion eliminates motion artifacts for a perfect picture, it has 3 HDMI inputs and even converts low-res signals to 1080p.
What more? It’s Energy Star 3.0 for high energy efficiency. So it won’t sting your pocket a month later like older large-format HDTV models did in the past.
